AI model
Choose the right AI model for your use case — balancing answer quality, response speed, and credit cost.
Model tiers
DGbot organises models into three tiers based on capability and cost:
Economy — Fast, low-cost models for high-volume use cases where response speed matters more than nuance. Best for simple Q&A, FAQs, and repetitive support questions.
Standard — Balanced models that handle complex multi-turn conversations well. Suitable for most business use cases.
Advanced — Most capable models. Best for complex reasoning, nuanced answers, long conversations, and professional-grade writing. Higher credit cost per message.

Change the model
Go to Settings → AI model in the admin panel.
Open AI model settingsThe AI model settings. Select a model and see a cost estimate.
Click the model you want to use. The estimated credit cost per message updates in real time.
Save your changes. The new model takes effect for new conversations immediately. Conversations in progress use the model they started with.
Credit costs
Each message a visitor sends consumes credits. The cost per message depends on the model tier:
| Tier | Credits per message (approx.) |
|---|---|
| Economy | 1 credit |
| Standard | 3 credits |
| Advanced | 8 credits |
These are approximate figures — actual cost depends on message length and context window used. View your exact usage in Billing → Credits & usage.
